A call is published by Silk Road Science Fund
The Silk Road Science Fund supports the joint research activities of Iranian researchers and the Chinese Academy of Sciences in the form of three activities of joint research and development, holding joint workshops and exchanging researchers.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the Silk Road Science Fund has published the fourth call for support of researchers and technologists of the Vice-Presidency and the Chinese Academy of Science in the form of joint research and development, holding joint workshops and exchanging researchers in short-term periods.
According to this call, a maximum of six joint research projects will be supported in the field of advanced materials and water sciences. In addition, researchers in the fields of nanotechnology and renewable energies that are somehow related to advanced materials can send their proposals in the field of advanced materials science.
Iranian researchers can send their joint proposals to the fund during July 27th-August 30th, 2019. All proposals must be registered in the Chinese Academy of Science by Chinese and Iranian researchers separately but at the same time. In addition, Iranian researchers must be faculty members of one of the universities and research centers of the country, whereas the Chinese researchers must be working in the research centers or universities affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Science.
The maximum support of researchers in each country is 168 million tomans, which does not include the purchase of equipment.
However, in the section of support of joint workshops in the call, a maximum of three joint workshops in the fields of nanotechnology, renewable energies, cognitive sciences, advanced materials, water sciences and medical engineering will be supported.
In case of holding workshops in Iran, the Iran National Science Foundation supports the Iranian researchers for up to 36 million tomans.
In addition, the program of exchanging researchers involves the visiting of one or several institutes and universities affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences by one Iranian researcher.
